Rainy Day Fun

Last Tuesday the forecast was for rain.  So, we took advantage and had a day filled with fun indoor activities.  The biggest hit of which was a bag of flour and kitchen utensils and containers.  Hannah and Jordan had a blast playing with and making a mess with the flour for approximately an hour.

Painting with yogurt dyed with food coloring.  This activity was short-lived though.  I am not sure it was worth the mess and cleanup, but Hannah sure does look cute in the picture below. :)

Let the flour fun continue!!  More measuring
Mommy, isn't this fun!?!
While Hannah rested, Jordan and I made our own construction site complete with diggers, sand, and lincoln logs (as pipes).
Jordan thought this was great fun!
Another activity that was a big hit was playing with and stacking plastic cups.  As you can see, Jordan is very proud of his stack of cups!!
Hannah playing with the cups also.
Just so cute I had to include it:)
Mom, cups are so fun.--Hannah
I love playing with cups, Mom!-Jordan
Cups, cups, cups!!

We had a lot of fun!! Jordan even told me he had fun doing our activities!!  So, if you are looking for something to do on a rainy day and don't mind a mess, then have some fun!!

Happy Mother's Day, Mom!!

I want to say a special Happy Mother's Day to my precious mom!!  I am so thankful for a mom who loves Jesus and taught me to love Him also.  I am also thankful for all the sacrifices she made in caring for us, loving us, disciplining us, teaching us, and having fun with us growing up.  I would not be the woman I am today if it were not for the precious mom and dad the Lord blessed me with.  I am also thankful that today we share a great friendship and that we have the joy of fellowshipping together and watching her love on our own kids.  Praise the Lord for my mom!!  The pictures above are of my precious mom and Nanna at the dedication weekend for our two precious kids!!  I love you, Mom!

Happy Mother's Day!!

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms.  Praise the Lord for these precious children He has blessed us with and for all our little girl who is on the way!!

Fun with Washington Friends

Our friends Wendy, Taylor and Meredith came to visit us on Tuesday.  We had a great time together and it was such a joy to see them.  Jordan thought it would be fun to go to Pullen Park together and I agreed.  So, after naps on Tuesday we headed down to Pullen Park.  Pictured above are Taylor, Meredith, and Wendy riding the train at Pullen Park.
Here are Laura, Hannah and Jordan riding the train.  Jordan loved riding the train.  Unfortunately, the whistle on the train scared sweet Hannah and made her cry.  Now I know to sit in the back of the train away from the whistle.
Jordan also loves the carousel.  He and Meredith had a good time riding it.

Meredith and Jordan also played on the playground.
YEAH--Swinging.  I love to swing!!
Seesaws are great!?!
Look at that tongue!
Hannah loves to be in the sand, to feel the sand in her hands, and to play with the sand.

Easter--Christ is Risen!!

Seeing the blooming flowers and beautiful growth on our plants in our front yard reminds me of new life.  Praise the Lord for the new life we have in Christ through His death and resurrection.

Sunday afternoon we enjoyed our own family Easter egg hunts--yes, we had multiple egg hunts.  Did I say yet that Jordan loves to hunt Easter eggs?
Jordan even enjoyed hiding the Easter eggs for one round of hunting.  He, of course, then wanted to tell us where they were.  Here he is showing Philip where the Easter eggs are located.
