Great Neighbors & a Great Trip

 Before our trip to Mexico, we had a chance to hang out with our neighbors as we so often enjoy doing in our cul de sac.  We are so blessed to have such great neighbors.

On March 19th, Jordan, Philip and I headed to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for a relaxing vacation.  We enjoyed a great time together as well as some excellent food and some fabulous massages.  As you can see Jordan enjoyed the great food as well.

 We also enjoyed beautiful sunsets.

 One evening we ate dinnner at a restaurant overlooking the beach.  Here we are with the beach with the sunset in the background.

 We took time to have a fun little photoshoot one evening with Jordan.  What a handsome looking boy--of course, I am not biased at all. :)

What a blessing to enjoy a relaxing week away with my husband and our precious little man!!

Hannah's Leg

This post is an explanation of some delay in my posts.  My birthday was March 14th.  And, let's just say that it turned out to be quite the exciting birthday.  Wednesday afternoon I took Hannah to the doctor to have her ears checked and she had an ear infection.  Upon returning home, I was changing Jordan in his room.  Hannah loves Jordan's bed and crawled up on it while I was changing Jordan.  In the process of my changing Jordan, she fell out of his bed.  A little over an hour later we headed back to the doctor because she would not put weight on her right leg.  The pediatrician checked her out and verified their were no major head or back injusries but thought that we should have her leg x-rayed.  Therefore, we needed to go to WakeMed ER.  Hannah and I arrived at WakeMed ER at a little after 6pm.  Philip joined us about 8:45pm and we arrived back home around 1:30am with Hannah in a cast because she had fractured her right femur.  She is adjusting very well to having a cast and has learned to crawl and even to stand up.  Pictured below is the Hannah's original cast wrapped in ace bandage, and as you can see, she is still smiling and happy.  I love how resilient God made children.  Praise the Lord for protecting my baby girl.



Reading & Building

Several days now we have spent inside because of illness.  We have had some fun together as a family.  Hannah and Daddy love to read together in the recliner.

Jordan enjoyed building designs with tires this morning.

Jordan and Mommy enjoyed making cookies and bugs with playdough.

Praise the Lord--I think we are finally starting to get better.  Lord willing we will all be well soon and hopefully, stay well.

Tent Day

Friday was Tent Day.  Jordan has been so excited to set up our tent in the living room.  So, when the rain came Friday, out came the tent for some special fun.

We played and we read.  We had a fun day playing in the tent.  What a great way to spend a rainy day!!

Fun with Friends

We have already had a couple of fun March playdates with John David and Kailyn.  Last Thursday the boys enjoyed their very own picnic on the deck. 

This Thursday we headed over to Lake Lynn to feed the ducks, have a picnic and play in the park.

Well, the first time I tried blogging I failed miserably.  But, I figured I would give it another shot.  I want to make sure I am keeping up with all the fun memories and blessings the Lord is giving us as our little ones grow up so quickly!!

As you can see, Jordan and Hannah are growing, growing, growing.  Hannah has just discovered sitting in Jordan’s rocking chair in his room and really thinks that’s wonderful.

Jordan loves to build on his tool bench that his Pop made him for Christmas.  I must say that it is the coolest kids tool bench I have ever seen.  And, of course, you must continue to work on the tool bench itself. J
